Phir ek baar use akela chod dia...

Rooh mera kabra ka rasta poochne se raha ke logon ne kafan bhi odh dia,
Kasam mohabbat ki dilayee use, phir ek baar use akela chod dia...

Addressing your team member as Boss..he can really be your boss in different moods.

With changing protocols in corporate communication and employee - employer relationship, there is a tilt towards a bit awkward personal communication. With people preferring to be called by their name rather than the official designation or by commonly used "Sir", it opens an un-official social arena wherein people find their comfortable and easy pronouncing and even taunting names. But is it a healthy way to address a colleague or a sub-ordinate ? But still there are people who like to be addressed as per their designation or by name or by the usual denomination "sir". I would say lets stick to the grass root names as per designation which in every way refers the respect and authority and accountability. for example let me address this by giving an example which happened around me.

There was a manager who was little casual in approach  and his tone and words were little taunting towards his sub ordinates. In a usual meeting he fired him a question with addressing this dear sub-ordinate as "Boss" and then he added the usual query and to my head tun the next moment the employee heard replying as "Sir, pls understand that I am not your boss nor you are mine, I am an employee who has equal rights as you have and with due respect I am liable to answer all your query within the organisational policies and nothing beyond that. your addressing me as boss in front of my colleagues is a kind of taunting towards my employee rights which I can not accept." Hearing this from his manager just felt a little sorry for his words and wanted the employee to take it lightly and moved on.

Hence we don't know who thinks in which way... so its always better to address the designation properly.

Living a life, larger than it should not be

I got on the machine and put a coin in the feeder and the display flashed as 74.6...I told myself this guy called gravity is getting weight and need to get off it. You wont believe man...I was between 50-60 to the best of my knowledge 2 yrs back but the tightening of my pants which gradually went up to 32 from 30. I could realize the tyres by my side but was defiant to accept that I have weight. it was quiet embarrassing in front of few less weighty people who noticed the number on screen. I turned around to said to myself " M living life, larger than it should not be" and moved on....

Going for an Interview...Perhaps re-think about the interviewer.

It has been years I am into recruitment and I have witnessed a drastic change in the way industry recruits and the ever changing trend in doing so. Here today we will discuss few best Recruiting skills those are quite popular today.
  • Job portal
This has occupied as the best source of resume status from all the recruiters today as this provides the best available junk of resumes as database. In India particularly this has been over  decade job portals have enjoyed the favourable source of resumes. But with time passing these portals too have matured. And the next step is not only resumes database but the real time availability of the resources is in style these days. That is where portals like LinkedIn and headhochos are gaining popularity. And corporates & recruiters too are checking the linkedin profiles for recommendations while selecting the right fit. - Hence maintain an updated Linkedin profile studded with recommendations.
  • Social Networking sites
With only 30 to 40% of total available resources have reach through the job portals and With the rise in the millions of Internet users and that to on mobile devices the recruiters has just another way to reach the potential candidates. Yes its your facebook page or twitter page wherein the recruiters are scanning. Hence suggest to respond to mails mainly in the inbox.

  • References
Effective recruiters always ask reference to the available candidates and they don't mind do following up for the same. They try to befriend the reachable candidate to reach the unreachable candidate through his network.  Hence spread a word to mouth about your looking out for new opportunity in your professional network, who knows who is impressed enough to refer you.
  • Blogging
With Many hosting sites offering free blogging opportunist candidate are well exploring it well and hence provide the corporate recruiters another way out to select them. So here the candidates are positioning themselves to be the chosen one.Hence it may be of useful for you to maintain a blog mainly with your professional work outs.
  • Seminars and conferences
Unlike their basic nature to discuss budding issues on a profession or corporate world seminars and Conferences offer a platform where prospective candidates visiting card works for him. Hence attend the many free to attend seminars and even the paid ones as well. Needless to say it works for the executive hiring.

The above exert is solely based on my personal experience & observation during my recruiting career and are not based on any research paper.
